Bombs away

While researching the Edward Logue papers at Yale’s Manuscipts and Archives, I came across an architectural drawing (photographed above.)  The rendering shows the Newburgh Armory, as well as, inexplicably, a sketch of a bomb on the lower right corner.  That portion of the rendering suffered some water damage; coincidence or the toils of some material conflict?
