Venetian summer fare…

Newburgh casualties from a storm this past winter.

And a summer rose.

Missing from the earlier posted Go Show excerpts was the segment “Grandma’s Grammatology.” Here’s Grandma, back to remedy that situation. (From the episode Goin’ Churchin’.)

A squirt from the past

I was trying to figure out what a unit of ketchup is called, and thought “dollop” was more for whipped cream, or any roux sauce (a little too French.)  Although squirt seems more appropriate for squeeze bottle ketchup, as opposed to the traditional glass container.  Nothing comes to mind from my own use of English.  Isn’t it “some ketchup”? Or “a little ketchup”?

Anyway, a new page for an old project, Playing Ketchup.

Was it because I was a black man? Was that the “it” that it made “it” invisible? Or was it because I brake for ideas? Whatever the reason, there were few chuckles in the back room of Freddy’s for this conceptual artist.

The Go Show was a collaboration with Maria Dumlao and Elaine Kaufmann. We made episodes themed on madness, art, religion and patriotism. Each thirty minute episode was broadcast on MNN and BCAT. We also collaboratively produced a blog for the show.
